Welcome,
Since 2004, the idea of an advocacy group speaking for themselves through theatrical performance has grown from a single performance at a statewide convention to a working theatre troupe. Performers, ranging in age from 17 to 55, audition each fall and train weekly in the skills needed to produce performances for an authentic audience.
Our show was produced through a series of questions discussed by the actors. The responses of the actors were developed into a real life scene at a bus stop. Actors speak directly to the audience about their hopes, their dreams, and their concerns.
The We Have A Voice Company has become a living, breathing Theatre Company with an acknowledged community impact. Through music and the spoken word, these non-professional actors create change in individuals and society by "holding up a mirror" to real life concerns.
